Filipa Rosário is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Comparative Studies, University of Lisbon, Portugal, where she coordinates the project ‘Cinema and the World – Studies in Space and Cinema’. She studies landscape in
Portuguese cinema and co-coordinates the workgroup ‘Landscape and Cinema’ at AIM - The Association of the Moving Image Researchers, Portugal. Rosário is
the author of ‘O Trabalho do Actor no Cinema de John Cassavetes’ (‘The Actor’s Craft within the Cinema of John Cassavetes’, Sistema Solar, 2017) and holds a PhD in Art Studies - Studies of Cinema and Audiovisual (University of Lisbon), with a thesis entitled "In a Lonely Place - the reading of space in road movie through the representation of the American city."
