Author Biography

Igor Krstić, Independent scholar

Igor Krstić studied literature at the University of Tübingen, after which he obtained an MA in Film and Television Studies at the University of Amsterdam. In 2013 he completed his PhD at the University of Mannheim. From 2012 to 2013 he was an Assistant Professor in American Studies at the University of Mannheim and from 2014 to 2016 a DAAD-Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Reading. He is the author of Slums on Screen: World Cinema and the Planet of Slums (Edinburgh University Press 2016) and co-editor of the forthcoming volume World Cinema and the Essay Film: Transnational Perspectives on a Global Film Practice (Edinburgh University Press 2018).
