1st Meeting of Editors of Academic Journals in Media

Following previous meetings organised by Aniki, this event aims to promote dialogue among editors of academic journals in the field of Media Studies, encouraging the exchange of experiences and the creation of a collaborative network capable of addressing the current challenges of editorial work.

The meeting will feature the participation of the journals Comunicação e Sociedade (University of Minho), Convergences - Journal of Research and Arts Education (Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco), DOC On-line (University of Beira Interior and Universidade Estadual de Campinas), Editor Cinematography in Progress (CITO) and ICONO 14 (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos).

The programme will include journal presentations, a roundtable discussion dedicated to the present and future of academic journals in Media Studies, and an open conversation between the audience and the participating editors.

The event is supported by AIM – Association of Researchers in Moving Image, IHC – NOVA FCSH and FCT, in partnership with the University of Beira Interior and its research unit iArtes.

Admission is free, but subject to the venue’s capacity.
