Call for proposals for thematic dossiers

Conditions for submitting proposals: 

- Proposals must be submitted by up to three guest editors, with different institutional affiliations, in order to reflect the journal's cultural and linguistic scope and inclusiveness.

- Proposals will be accepted in Portuguese, English and Spanish, the official languages of Aniki.  

- It is recommended that editors be of different nationalities, in order to ensure a greater diversity of perspectives and to reach a greater number of potential authors.

- Topics already covered in previous Aniki thematic dossiers will not be accepted. 

Formalization of proposals:

- Proposals must be submitted in editable text format (Word or equivalent) and sent by e-mail to aniki@aim.org.pt, with the subject line: “Call for DTs”.

- The submission document should contain:
  • Name, academic degree and institutional affiliation of the proposers.
  • A brief biographical note on the proposers (maximum 150 words per person).
  • Title of the thematic dossier.
  • A detailed abstract (up to 1000 words), including:
  • Description of the theme and justification of its relevance to the field of study;
  • Profile of the intended texts and their connection with the proposed theme;
  • A clear indication of the target audience;
  • A reference bibliography related to the topic.

Evaluation of proposals and communication of results: 

Proposals will be evaluated by the Aniki Editorial Board according to the following criteria:
  • Compliance with the submission conditions.
  • Clarity, originality and relevance of the topic.
  • Comprehensiveness of the proposal, with the capacity to promote a diversity of perspectives, encouraging the participation of national and international authors. 
  • Suitability to Aniki's mission and editorial scope.

The deadline for submitting proposals is January 15, 2025.

The results will be communicated by email by February 15, 2025.
