Abstract

Critical overview of the exhibition ""De Méliès à la 3D. La machine cinéma" at the Cinémathèque Française. A number of studies on techniques and filmic machines are evoked and different aspects of the exhibition are critically discussed.

Tatiana Monassa, Universidade Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3, Département Cinéma et Audiovisuel, IRCAV, 75231, Paris

Tatiana Monassa is a PhD student at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3, where she teaches film analysis, film theories and criticism. She is also a regular collaborator of the journal La Furia Umana and she has edited several retrospective catalogues in Brazil.
