Abstract

In 2019, the project Ocupação Itaú Cultural dedicated an exhibition to Eduardo Coutinho. This review revisits various aspects of this project, with an emphasis on the exhibition held in São Paulo. Additionally, it proposes a broader reflection on the role of culture within the current Brazilian context.

Vitor Zan holds a Bachelor's degree in Frilm from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, a Master degree and PhD in Film from Sorbonne-Nouvelle, Paris III.

Postdoctoral researcher. Graduated in Comunicação Social - Jornalismo from Universidade Federal do Piauí (2009), Master degree in Comunication from Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2013) and doctorate in Meios e Processos Audiovisuais from Universidade de São Paulo (2018). Has experience in Comunication, focusing on Comunication, acting on the following subjects: film aesthetic, film theory, body, modern cinema, experimental cinema, contemporary art.
