Abstract
The exhibition “La grande guerra sul grande schermo” hosted at Le Gallerie in Trento constitutes a remarkable attempt to evaluate the functions of cinema as a means of representing the war. The review focuses on experience and memory as the means of analysing the relation between WWI and cinema.
