| Abstract | Bearing in mind that the cinema is a testimony of society that produced it and therefore a documental source for the historical science, this dissertation intends to make a historical, political and ideological analysis of the American involvement in Southeast Asia having as object the film by Phillip Noyce, "The Quiet American", based on the homonym work by Graham Greene. |
