Resumo

Uma revisão crítica da Conferência Internacional “Patologias e Disfunções da Democracia em Contexto Mediático”, organizada pela Universidade da Beira Interior. Consideram-se diferentes aspetos da conferência, bem como as diferentes abordagens e estudos de caso apresentados, relacionados com ficções distópicas, desde livros, filmes a série de televisão.

Marta Lopera-Mármol, Pompeu Fabra University, Communication Faculty, CAS Research Group, 08018, Barcelona

Marta Lopera is a Doctoral and Teacher Fellow at the Communication Department of Pompeu Fabra University and a research member of the Research Group CAS (Communication, Advertising, and Society). She has taught: Communication & Events Management (B.A. Advertising and PPRR), Analysis of Persuasive Discourses (B.A. Advertising and PPRR) and Newsroom (B.A. Journalism).

She holds an M.A. in Social Communication from UPF and an undergraduate in Audiovisual Communication from University of Barcelona with two international stays at Hanzehogeschool of Applied Sciences (Groningen, The Netherlands) and La Trobe University (Melbourne, Australia).

Her research lines are television studies, sustainable film, TV series, coming-of-age, postmodern philosophy, dramedy, aesthetics, and narrative.
