VIII AIM Annual Meeting

AIM's 8th Annual Meeting will be held on 16-19 May 2018, in Aveiro, at University of Aveiro. This edition of the AIM Annual Meeting will be co-organized by AIM - Association of Researchers of the Moving Image and the Department of Languages and Cultures. AIM’s Annual Meeting is an international conference and all proposals will be peer reviewed. Proceedings will be published electronically after the meeting.

So far the confirmed guest speakers of the VIII AIM Annual Meeting are: Dorota Ostrowska, Senior Lecturer in Film and Modern Media at Birkbeck, University of London. Her research covers European media studies, film festivals, and the history of film and media production. Her publications include Reading the French New Wave: Critics, Writers and Art Cinema in France (2008) and European Cinemas in the TV Age (2007); Ian Craven teaches Film and Television Studies at the University of Glasgow. His research interests include Australian cinema and television, and film technology, as well as British amateur cinema. His edited publications include Australian Popular Culture (1994), and Australian Cinema in The 1990s (2001), he has a forthcoming monograph on British Amateur cinema in the 1930s.
