VII AIM Annual Meeting

AIM's 7th Annual Meeting will be held on 10-13 May 2017, in Braga, at University of Minho. This edition of the AIM Annual Meeting will be co-organized by AIM - Association of Researchers of the Moving Image and the Communication and Society Research Centre. AIM’s Annual Meeting is an international conference and all proposals will be peer reviewed. Proceedings will be published electronically after the meeting.

The confirmed guest speakers of the VI AIM Annual Meeting will be: Catherine Grant teaches and researches in the field of film studies at the University of Sussex (UK), with many publications on theories and practices of film authorship and intertextuality, and has edited volumes on world cinema, Latin American cinema, digital film and media studies, and the audiovisual essay; Ernest W. Adams, game designer and professor at the University of Uppsala (Sweden), with an extensive professional activity in the field of digital games, publishing Fundamentals of Game Design (2014) and Game Mechanics: Advanced Game Design (2012); and Kim Akass, from the School of Creative Arts at University of Hertfordshire (UK), where she co-ordinate the Media Research Group, and she is also co-founder of Critical Studies in Television: The International Journal of Television Studies, with several publications, namely TV's Betty goes Global: From Telenovela to International Brand (co-edited with Janet McCabe, 2012) and From Here to Maternity: Motherhood in the Media (2015).
